Who attends?
Crossways is designed for confirmation-age youth, typically campers who have just completed grades 6, 7, or 8. Campers may attend for up to three years.

What campers and families need to know before Crossways.
Where do we stay?
Campers and leaders stay in residence halls at Augustana College in Rock Island and eat meals together on campus.
Who comes with us?
Congregations send familiar adult leaders with their campers. Those adults help with transportation, small groups, and the everyday work of building a safe, enthusiastic camp community.
What the week feels like
Big enough to be exciting
Campers meet youth from other congregations and discover that the church is wider than the people they already know.
Small enough to be known
Small groups, familiar congregational adults, and staff relationships keep the week personal.
Busy, with room to breathe
The 2027 schedule intentionally protects transition and decompression time.
Supported
Crossways plans for dedicated medical support, mental-health readiness, and a sensory / step-out space for campers who need a quieter reset.
