Church gets bigger here.

Crossways is confirmation ministry lived together: worship, community, questions, service, and a lot of fun.

Confirmation is more than information.

Crossways Confirmation Camp brings confirmation-age youth and congregational adults together for a week at Augustana College. Campers meet young people from other ELCA congregations, worship together, ask real questions, learn through Scripture and conversation, serve neighbors, and discover what it feels like to belong to a church larger than their own congregation.

The goal is not to squeeze a year of confirmation class into five days. The goal is to create the kind of community where faith can be practiced, questioned, sung, served, laughed about, and carried home.

What makes Crossways Crossways?

Lutheran at the center

Crossways is rooted in the ELCA and in a theology of grace: God acts first, and our lives become a response to that gift.

Campers are participants

Youth do not simply watch adults do ministry. They sing, serve, ask, lead, play, pray, and become part of the week.

Congregations come together

Crossways strengthens the relationships young people already have while widening their sense of the church.

The world gets included

Service projects and interfaith experiences push faith beyond the room and into relationships with neighbors.

Why Augustana?

The college setting gives Crossways a distinctive rhythm: dorm life, shared meals, worship and learning spaces, recreation, and easy access to the Quad Cities for service and off-campus activities.

It feels different from home without feeling disconnected from the life campers already know.
